New year -2010

Finally got time to do some updating..

Went to church for New year count down.. theory is.. Starts your Year with God.. no matter what happens.. believes' he will alway be there for us.. Group of nice and friendly church friend.. although there's some funny ones..

Recently, just got back from 4D3N Esperances trip.. a 8 hrs drives from perth.. with Drew, Cherie and Jen.. journey was pleasant and enjoyable.. visited many places.. mostly lakes.. Pink lakes.. sea salt lake.. monjijup.. jetty.. windmills.. ferry rides over to woody island.. camped and done short snorkelling.. yabbies farm... although at times.. some events happened.. believe it happened for a reason..perhape for one to get to know the other better.. if all things are blissful and smooth.. probably might wonder why.. aNyway.. it was a enjoyable holiday cum experience.. climbed up Cape le grand mini mountain.. where temp hits 45 deg C.. all got sun burned + tanned.. dived into the ocean.. for a swim.. to cool ourselves down.. headed for some BBQ at night.. cooked on portable stove on the jetty.. met Sammy the sealion.. Eventually, when we finally get back to perth.. was so exhausted.. haa..

As usual.. working.. fellowship.. classes commencing in end feb.. meeting friends.. movies.. Exercises.. swimming + jogging (Plan to do it pro 3 times a week).. Drumming.. playing with huggy.. got to discipline this big fellow..getting bigger.. n stronger.. drew mom nearly got drag away by him.. there's alway a saying :"Curiousity kills a DOG".. its true.. but.. he's only an animal.. haiz.. just got to do it.. weather is getting hotter nowadays.. at times.. it reaches sky high of 45deg..

Went to work today, worked with Dianelle.. realised.. sometimes ppl simply dont really care for the resident that much.. only care for those resident where they get benefits from.. for examples.. this morning..while getting Tom up.. she just simply want to get her job done with.. *Cause her roaster got mixed up by the floor coordinator - ended up there's 2 ppl coming for work for the same shift*..wanted to get Tom dressed with a Coat.. plus change pad and pants on.. took it out.. however.. she doesnt seems to be willing to do it.. simply ignored it.. as she works over in this facility longer than me.. hence I just follow what she wants to do.. although Tom is supposed to be under my care.. Just my luck.. the Manager happens to came in early today.. said Tom smells.. and found his pant not put on.. only covered with blanket.. told the coordinator off.. ended up.. got told by the coordinator to be look after resident Dignity.. I do agreed with her.. That's life..

Anyway.. my new year resolution.. is to do my best in all things.. put in 100% care for all things I do.. so long I know it's right and for the best.. I should stick to it.. not being pushed over by ppl who dont really care.. They are simply incorrigible.. hiaz..

Lately, kind of busy.. over nothing.. haa.. hence did not really provide an update..
Since its christmas now.. over in perth.. it's like a big occasion.. similar to New year.. everybody..busy shopping. busy gifts.. foods.. clothes.. choco.. etc.. n their holiday.. wao.. fantastic.. nearly 2 weeks.. ppl over here.. simply enjoy their life to the fullest.. Went to this event "The Road to Bethelem".. pretty interesting.. review about the birth of Jesus..

Huggy is getting bigger.. n stronger.. n playful.. moral = climb + jump higher.. one day.. when i came back home from work.. found this silly hug.. on top of the rubbish bin.. cant believe he can do it... ended up.. he dont even know how to climb down.. a funny sight indeed..

On wed.. just bought huggy down to the vet to be desex = Sterilisation.. costly indeed... basically.. what the vet does it to remove the testicles.. scrotrum are still intact.. probably might shrink alittle.. that's about it.. done a blood test for him.. ensuring all things are fine.. so silly..cant believe animal requires such treatment.. haa.. currently.. he got a "trumpet" named "Elizabethan Collar".. on his head.. to prevent him from chewing and bitting of the stitches.. Trade mark on his ear - to indicate that he is sterilised.. going back 10 days later to remove the stitches.. he doesnt seems to know that he is currently denounced as "Eunch doggy".. haa..

Went to laker tavern to have lunch.. heard from the residents.. worth going.. tasted alright.. ordered fish n chips + salt and pepper squid..

Watched movie with Drew.. Cherie and Evo.. Avatar.. wao.. 3 hrs movie.. nice n interesting.. perhape one of the nicest movie for this year 2009..

Then after.. Took a picture using the digital print for IC purposes.. haa..surprisly.. able to squeeze in 2 ppl.. think with more effort.. 3 or 4 person..shld be able to make it.. although the machine indicated..stictly for one person only.. IC purpose.. nice print.. **cherie you shld join in nxt time round**

Went with drew to purchase some stuff for esperance trip.. wao.. the aussie here.. are as KIASU like all ppl.. as today is boxing day.. most mall..having great discount..up to 50% or more.. on many items.. hence.. many ppl were seen quencing outside differ outlets.. awaiting for shops to open at 10am.. in order to grab the stuff they want.. as per news.. it was reported some started quencing at abt 11pm last night.. phew..

Booked for huggy to be desex this coming wed.. checked with the vet.. said that desexing the dog..helps to prevent them from being "mad" during the "heat" period.. less aggressive.. less likely to mark his territory.. prevent prostate cancer.. huggy..simply like to be pamper.. enjoy lying on my lap.. while i smooth his fur.. haa..

Sent out some christmas card.. busy.. as busy as the post office..

Got my early christmas present from drew.. ipod 8 GB.. nice pinky color.. with special wording engraved on it.. sweet.. like it..

Prepared nice scrumptious meal on friday.. Baked salmon + Buttermilk chicken + Honeydew sago + Chai tea.. took nearly an hour to season the stuff.. another hour to get it coooked.. n 1 more hour to eat..

Went for superbowl with Drew, Christy, Yumi & Jen at superbowl.. cannington.. something Christy would like to do before she head back to India.. before that.. played arcade.. haa.. hit the jackpot.. with 190 tickets at a go.. managed to get each of us a small gift.. Pooper.. sticker.. balls.. sticky lizard.. a soveniour each to rmb.. (^.*,)..

Recently, met up with Chem engrg friends for lunch at freo.. pleasant and enjoyable.. each order one dish.. share among all.. funny incident happened.. Wei Yue who was trying to shoo away some irritating seagulls.. by mistakes.. his car keys flew from his hand and fell into the river at freo.. initially, heard a "plog" sound.. wondering what it was.. then wei yue shouted.. o my.. my keys flew into the water.. was quite a comotion.. water was quite deep.. tried to use some broom to hook it up..in vain.. many people crowded around us.. trying to figure out.. what we are trying to do.. ended up.. wei yue.. as usual.. haa.. took off his clothes and had a dive in the water to retrieve his keys.. Huggy is as silly as usual.. gt this frisbee for him to play with.. one day.. came back home from work.. found the frisbee stuck in his head.. cant believe he is so silly n funny.. up to his mischieve as usual.. w/o fail.. checked out with the vet.. might desex him nxt coming week.. cost about $260 to get him desex..

Silly huggy bitting all over his dog kennel.. decided to stop him from bitting.. bought some plastic cover.. to cover the edge of the house.. hence.. he got no opportunity to destroy his house.. cost me nearly $350 to purchase it..

Benefit of desexing a dog:

A desexed dog is less likely to:

• Develop certain type of tumours such as uterine, ovarian and mammary (breast) cancer in females and possibly testicular cancer in males (less common).

• Anti-social behaviour such as aggression towards people or other animals and excessive urine marking, thus reducing the enjoyment of owning a pet and disrupting the human bond

Had a busy week.. as usual.. tour.. work.. exercise.. aim.. to jog and swim n do other stuff.. to keep fit n healthy.. haaa.. although require some motivation..

Happened to be at Vic park ytd.. surprised to see that there a youth event going on.. looks like a flea market.. stall selling different stuff.. books.. candles (Looks really yummy).. ornaments.. foods.. etc.. n some performance - bikes.. show case of antique cars... even the people from Peel Zoo was there.. bringing their pet snake called Emo.. feels cold..

Bought a new dog kennel for huggy.. easy to fix... cost me few hundred.. think it worth it.. however.. hope my doggy dont grow any bigger than his current kennel.. haa..

New house for hug..

Wed.. bought huggy for his 2nd obedience class.. as usual.. busy socialising with his other fellow dog mates.. forgotten my existance.. haa.. luckily.. i was not the only one being left out by thier pet dog.. some other dog owner.. haa.. was in the same situation as me.. taught the dog.. to sit.. down.. stay.. come.. etc.. hard work indeed.. require to be consistent in our training.. in a matter of time.. they will be trained..

Recently, while bringing huy out for a mornin walk.. found a dead cat lying on the grass patch.. initially.. was wondering how come .. a cat will be sleeping at this kind of place..earlier in the morning.. n not moving.. called out "kitty kitty".. still not moving.. huggy went over.. sniffing around.. realised it's actually dead.. checked with one of my friend.. she said..whenever u found any animal.. no matter it's dead or alive..just bring it to the nearest vet.. they will checked n discard it for you..

Recently, drove down to YORK.. part of WA.. up north.. abt 1.5 hrs drive.. visited the motor musuem.. court house.. jail room.. convict book.. interesting.. swing bridge.. mill gallery.. ended up..bought a apple tree home..haa.. hopefully.. can hv some apples to eat nxt year.. gonna feed huggy with apples now.. so in future.. i will hv plenty of apple for him.. apple strudel.. jams.. etc..

Ytd, went for canoeing with Drew, Cherie, Christy and Yumi at Dwellingup.. had a great day.. enjoyable and fun.. besides the annoying houseflies.. trying to kiss us.. n on our food.. canoe up and down Bowman .. murray river.. for nearly 3 hours.. passed some small rapids + rocky rocks.. s-course.. under a fallen tree trunk.. attempting to stand and canoeing.. funniest part.. cherie fell into the water while we are trying to swap position.. ended up.. a bagful of stuff was wet.. christy camera was wet.. hopefully... the camera will b fine after few weeks.. waiting for the internal to be dried up..

Finally, exam is over.. on the day for bio exam paper.. felt like calling one of my friend "linda".. to check where she is.. to my surprise.. she thought that the paper was on the next day.. haa.. and she asked me.. why are you in school.. luckily i called her.. if not..she will miss her paper.. ended up.. she got to speed down..all the way from her place.. pro 30mins away from school.. for the paper.. thank God.. she manage to arrive and sat for the paper.. during the exam.. there's one housefly.. kept buzzing around.. disturbing us.. kind of annoying.. as i'm trying to concentrate.. yet this silly housey is buzzing around.. irritating ppl..n their thought.. PAPER was not easy at all.. anyway.. no exam paper is easy.. already done my best.. prayed God to help me.. haa..

Brought huggy to shelly bridge for a run.. weather was good.. but.. too many houseflies.. that makes it irritating.. too bad.. just gt to bear with it.. initially.. when first arrived in Perth.. some of my friend was saying.. there would be so many housefly.. that you can simply take to slices of bread.. n catch all of them.. as housefly sandwiches.. in actual fact.. it wasnt that many.. just the buzzing around.. landing on your face.. body..makes it irritating.. that life.. God created them for a purposes.. think he is simply too friendly.. wagging his tail at everybody.. running over to greet them.. haa

Baked apple crumble today..

Ingredient:
Filling:
4 apples
50g water
2 tps sugar
*a tingle of honey

Crumble:
1 cup of plain flour (used wheat flour - healthier *Assumed)
2 tps sugar 100g butter/margarine
Cinnamon powder (spice)
Oats

Custard topping:
2 egg yolks
1/2 cup milk (warm)
2 tps sugar
1 tps vanilla essence

Filling: Diced the apples.. place all ingredient in the pot.. simmered for approx. 15 ~20 mins.. till apples are soft..

Crumbles: Chopped butter/magarine into diced form (prefer).. mixed all ingredients together.. using fingertip.. to obtain the crumby crumb..

Custard topping: Mixed all ingredient together.. boiled over the pans for 2~3mins.. off the stove.. stirred/ beat it for few mins.. to thicken the custard..

Final: Preheat oven to 190 Deg.. placed into oven for approx 20 ~25mins.. till golden brown.. * Apple crumble is best eaten when warmed..
